This album covers the 2006 North Gratiot Avenue Cruise in Chesterfield Twp. Michigan.
It was really poor weather for a cruise, and there were more cars parked in parking lots, than there were cruising Gratiot. Here's a nice 1960 Thunderbird.
The poor weather didn't keep the Friday family, of Macomb Twp, from coming out in their tastefully customized 1941 Cadillac coupe.
When there was a break in the rain, the Chesterfield Twp. police entertained and educated the folks with a demonstration with their K-9 dogs. Here, one of the dogs tackles a would-be perpetrator.

In the same area, they had a car-crushing demonstration, but this was all that was left of it by the time I got there. This clean 1955 Buick hardtop was for sale.
Jerrie, from Shelby Twp., said she was looking for just the right 1957 Pontiac for almost 30 years. Her husband found this one, with only 20,000 miles, down in Texas. She didn't want to be in the photo, but her grandson was happy to oblige.

Jerrie's husband's car was parked in the next spot over. His nicely customized 1938 Buick obviously has had some time and effort put into it. Guess what pulled up while I was checking out Jerrie's red 1957 Pontiac. Mike Gonyeau, of new Baltimore, and his green 1957 Pontiac. That's worth mentioning, because you really don't see that many 1957 Pontiacs at cruises or shows. Don't know what happened to all of them.
Ron & Linda Barthold, of Washington Twp., were trying to make the best of the poor weather with their attractive 1956 Ford Crown Victoria.
